Gore - Tex ®
Gore-Tex® is completely water and wind proof yet still breathable. Each pore of Gore-Tex® is 20,000 times smaller than a raindrop but 700 times larger than a molecule of water. It is completely impervious to rain and wind, even under pressure, but allows perspiration vapour to pass through.

Thinsulate insulation is soft and compressible.
Thinsulate insulation works by trapping air molecules between you and the outside. The more air a material traps in a given space, the greater its insulating value. Because the microfibers in Thinsulate insulation are far finer than other fibers, they trap more air in less space, which naturally makes it a better insulator.

Bamboo
Bamboo fabric is a natural textile made from the pulp of the bamboo grass.
Bamboo fabric is light, soft and strong. It has excellent wicking properties and it is to some extent antibacterial.
Bamboo fabric can be worn directly next to the skin. The fiber is naturally smooth and round without chemical treatment, meaning that there are no sharp spurs to irritate the skin.
Bamboo is highly water absorbent, able to take up three times its weight in water. In bamboo fabric, this translates to an excellent wicking ability that will pull moisture away from the skin so that it can evaporate.
Bamboo also has many antibacterial qualities, which bamboo fabric is apparently able to retain, even through multiple washings. This helps to reduce bacteria that thrive on clothing and cause unpleasant odors. It can also kill odor causing bacteria that live on human skin, making the wearer and his or her clothing smell more sweet. In addition, bamboo fabric has insulating properties and will keep the wearer cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
